Blackberry 9720 with QWERTY keypad for Rs 16,000

Struggling Canadian handset manufacturer BlackBerry (previously Research in Motion or RIM) has added yet another touch and type smartphone to its portfolio. The latest addition, called 9720 has been targeted at the mid-price range segment of the Indian smartphone market, and will be available for Rs 16,000 later this month. A successor to the popular Curve 9320, this one offers a touch-and-type user interface, although instead of the latest BB10 operating system, the smartphone runs on the outdated BB 7.1 OS. 1 Million BlackBerry 10 Smartphones bought

An "established" partner of Canada's BlackBerry has placed an order for one million BlackBerry 10 smartphones, the company has announced.

This is the "largest ever single purchase order" in the company's history, BlackBerry (formerly RIM) claims.
BlackBerry has announced the first BlackBerry 10 smartphones — Z10 and Q10 — on January 30, 2013. With the new version of the platform and these devices, the company hopes to regain some of the market share it's been steadily losing since 2009.

Research in Motion announced Blackberry 9630 Tour

RIM(Research in Motion) announced Blackberry 9630 Tour, a Qwerty device supporting both CDMA EVDO Rev. It is also having 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and video capture. It is having HTML enabled web browser, 3.5 mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0, supports microSD upto 32 GB card. It would be available in North America from this summer onwards.
