Xolo Opus 3 with a 5-inch display

The word ‘selfie’ has sparked the proliferation of an entirely new breed of smartphones like the Xolo Opus 3 which sports a price of Rs 8499 in India. You call a device a selfie phone when it has a good quality front camera accompanied by flash. Without the last mentioned component, it’s just a handset with a decent webcam.

The Xolo Opus 3 has a 5MP front-facing snapper with an 88-degree wide angle lens, flash unit and BSI sensor. The rear casing shows of an impressive 8MP camera powered by Sony Exmor R. It uses dual flash, embeds a 5P Lens design and offers an aperture of f/2.0. All in all, you should get some pretty decent low light performance out of it.

XOLO smartphone for Rs 7k only

The Xolo A500 comes powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8225 processor with 512MB RAM, 4 inch LCD screen and 5MP fixed focus camera. The handset is priced at Rs. 6,999 but you can get it for as low as Rs. 6,500 from local market.
I believe the hardware and most of the specs are almost similar to the Videocon A30 that is also priced at around the same. This is a low cost dual core handset by Xolo sold by Lava International.
